5th Grade Science
M.Ed. Curriculum & Instruction, University of Texas at Arlington
B.S., Interdisciplinary Studies, Prairie View A&M University
I have been in education since 2006. I started my career in Lancaster ISD at Rolling Hills Elementary where I taught various grade levels. (2nd grade - 5th grade) Searching for new experiences, I ventured to Grand Prairie ISD and taught at Lee Elementary. There I taught 3rd grade and then became a TAP Master Teacher servicing teachers in 2nd-5th grade along with various specials areas. As of 2016, I have found my way home to Lancaster ISD.
I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma but raised in Lancaster, Texas. I am a proud graduate of LISD. I attended Prairie View A&M University where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I moved back home and began teaching in Lancaster. I am passionate about everything that I do. I believe that a quality education is a necessary step to success in life. It's about more than the content but about establishing skills that will prepare you for whatever you choose to do. In my free time, I enjoying working out (running 5Ks), cooking (especially baking), music, and all things creative.
