Welcome Houston Tigers--Exemplary is our Goal!!       Spring Break begins Monday, March 9th to Friday, March 13th

Principal's Message

Principal Bell
Imagine a school where students, parents, teachers, and community members all feel as if they belong. This is the culture of Houston Elementary. We will not only prepare your child for an innovate future, but we will also equip your child with the character skill sets needed to become a productive citizen in society.

Houston Elementary is Blasting Off to Success! We are certainly proud that our campus received the “Recognized” status from the Texas Education Agency during the 2011 school year, and we will continue to work hard to ensure that all students are receiving a quality education every day.

This year, our district was selected recipient of a multimillion dollar STEM grant funded by the Texas Instruments Foundation and the Educate Texas Foundation. This means that students will acquire innovative educational opportunities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. At Houston, students will participate in meaningful STEM clubs and work with hand-held electronic devices throughout the school year placing emphasis on engineering and health fields. We are extremely excited about this opportunity and look forward to parents working with us on this journey.

Success is no accident! Therefore, we will work intentionally to provide both rigorous curriculum and a safe learning environment. We are committed to fostering a love for learning for all children as we prepare our students for tomorrow. With your help, we can achieve EXEMPLARY status.

Nothing is impossible!

Patonia Bell
