Welcome to Houston Health Science Technology Academy!
 
Our commitment at Houston Elementary is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.
 
HONOR. EXCEED. SERVE. is the motto for Houston Health Science Technology Academy. We insist on high standards of respect for ALL. We expect students to exceed in their academic performance and behavior. Our staff humbly serves our students. Houston students serve others. We ALL serve the community. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit to maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of Lancaster ISD students. We are one of the largest elementary campuses in Lancaster ISD serving over 700 students each day. In addition to our core course offerings, we also have bilingual learning programs for our students in Pre-K through 5th grades. It is the contribution and active role of our parents and community partners to our school that makes Houston Elementary an exceptional learning community. In Lancaster ISD, we believe that all children will achieve self-sustaining success and leave a lasting legacy. We would love for you to visit our campus and experience the many glorious achievements of our staff and students. Please, do not hesitate to connect with us to volunteer, mentor or support.

Commit! Data Declares Lancaster ISD the Top in Educating Students in Math and Science

Black Lancaster ISD Students Outperform State in Science and Math STAAR Exams The New York Times published a story this week about a new way to measure school effectiveness based on findings from Stanford University’s Center for Education Policy Analysis In the state of Texas, black students have historically performed lower than their peers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exam, often due to an inequitable lack of resources available to them. However, black students, who represent the majority (77%) of Lancaster ISD in southern Dallas County, are now outperforming their peers across the state in both Math and Science STAAR exams, growing their proficiency rate at the state’s post-secondary standard per STAAR assessments by over 15% on each subject over the last five years.....
